# New target template available
Many developers use Singer to write new data source taps, but we also have several who want to create new targets for loading data into additional destinations. We’ve put together a new cookiecutter target template to make creating Singer targets faster and easier.
# New, improved Getting Started Guide
We’ve made significant improvements to the Singer Getting Started Guide. It’s more cleanly organized, with a new table of contents and tons of information about metadata, replication method, stream and field selection, and developing targets. Check it out!
# Public roadmap updates
We recently released a new Quick Base tap.
Ping @brian in the Slack community if you’re working on a tap or target, or have one you want to see on the wish list, and we’ll add it to the Singer roadmap
If you finish working on a tap, submit it for review via our Google Form, and we’ll collaborate on adding it to the Singer site.
# Best practice tip of the month
Singer source code should be in a module (folder with __init__.py file) and not just a script (module.py file).
