Two new taps and two new targets released, plus a tip on best practices

# Two new taps and two new targets available
Two new taps, both developed by Fishtown Analytics, have been released. Take a look at their GitHub repos for information on functionality or to contribute to the code.
We also have two new targets available.
# Best practices
Here’s a tip for you on taps. The Singer specification doesn’t define any standard fields in the configuration, but we recommend supporting at least two particular fields:
  • start_date – A tap should take a start_date field in the config that indicates how far back an integration should sync data in the absence of a state entry.
  • user_agent – A tap should accept a user_agent field in the config and pass it along in request headers to the API. The user of a tap should include an email address in the user_agent field to allow the API provider to contact that address if there’s an issue with the tap or your usage of its API.
# Public roadmap updates
We’ve added three taps to the In Progress list on our public roadmap:
  • Oracle
  • Bronto
  • Quickbase
Ping @brian in the Slack community if you’re working on a tap we haven’t heard about yet and we’ll add it to the roadmap.
#Singer in a webinar
Boston-based ezCater built the Singer tap for AppsFlyer and contributed to the HubSpot tap. On February 27, ezCater will be the subject of a webinar hosted by data science platform vendor RapidMiner, where they will talk about using machine learning to predict customer lifetime value using data provisioned by Singer and Stitch. Register to attend, or to get a link to the recorded version.
